With up to 750GB of pure digital storage in a single drive, the Barracuda 7200.10 may be the largest, most reliable disc drive around. New perpendicular recording technology supports vertically stored data bits, enabling increased areal density and dependability for workstations and performance PCs. The hard drive's 3.0 Gb/s Serial ATA interface enables the user to connect to, and work with, other systems at a faster speed without any extra efforts. The hard disk has a 16 MB cache and works at 7200RPM, blowing away the 5400RPM “limit” for large scale hard drives.
Each time your PC is switched on, the Clean Sweep feature will fine-tune your drive, maintaining both media and drive reliability. Adaptive Fly Height maintains the distance between disc head and platter, based on fluctuations in environmental operating conditions. The Seagate SoftSonic Motor facilitates noiseless operations, while the Enhanced G-Force Protection prevents data corruption.
