Quantum® DDS-4 tape drive solutions provide small businesses with outstanding value and reliability. It provides a compressed capacity of 40 GB and a compressed transfer rate of 19.8 GB/hr. Also, It is compatible with DDS-3, DDS-2, and DDS-DC technology. The DDS-4 comes with TapeShield which provides an environmentally-sealed head-to-tape interface that reduces airborne contaminants, increases data integrity and enhances drive and media life. It also includes SmartShield which ensures that data is recoverable from difficult-to-read media. DDS-4 is a 'Backup Ready' solution meaning a customer can go from box-to-backup in minutes with the world-class Backup Exec software.
